Personalising your baskets
Your baskets represent you, your passions and interests, and your thoughts. We've combined a handful of features that allow you to express yourself while providing some organisational utility.
For inspiration, here are some examples of personalised baskets.
Add basket covers
Note: covers are only available on mobile only at the moment
By default, all baskets have a colour gradient cover to add a little splash of personality to each one you create. If you want to personalise your baskets, which is especially useful when sharing with others, you can change the cover image atop the basket screen. Simply tap the three dots for more options and select ‘Update cover’.
For your primary cover image, you can either randomise the gradient or upload your own photo. Basket supports JPG and PNG image formats.
To create a gallery cover, you can add three more images. To add more images, simply tap the green plus icon on the image card or tap the image itself. If you haven’t yet allowed access to your photos, you’ll need to do this before you can add a photo.
Important: Keep the Basket app open while you upload your photos. The small upload progress circle disappears when saving is complete.
To remove a cover image, tap the red minus icon on the image in the cover editor. Wait for the image to be removed before exiting the editor.
View basket covers
Covers can look amazing. To view a basket cover when you’re in a basket, simply tap or swipe down on the cover image, which will expand the cover to the entire screen and automatically close within a few seconds.
You can pause the cover from closing by taping and holding on to the middle of the screen.
If the basket cover has multiple images, you’ll see these automatically after a few seconds. You can also navigate the gallery images back and forth by tapping the screen's left (back) or right (forward) sides.
To close the basket cover, either tap the close icon at the top left or swipe up.
Descriptions
Adding a description can be a great way to remember what a basket is about or share important details and links (yes, you can add links) with others who may view or collab on the basket.
Mobile
To add a description, all you need to do is tap the blue text under the basket title that says “Add a description”, add your text and then press “Done”. To edit your description, simply tap the description text, make changes, and press “Done. Easy.
If you’re a menu person, tap the three dots for more options and select ‘Add description' or ‘Edit description’.
Web
To add a description, click the option “Add description” in the right-hand sidebar menu. A small window will appear where you can enter your description and press “Done” to save.
To edit your description, click the option “Edit description” in the right-hand sidebar menu, make your changes, and press “Done".
Notes
Notes are great when you need to add information to something you’ve saved to Basket. Perhaps it’s a little reminder to yourself or letting someone else know your opinion about the item.
To add a note to an item,
- Open the detailed item view by tapping the item card
- Then, tap “Add a note”. Enter your note and press “Done” on your keyboard.
To edit a note, simply tap the note text, make changes, and press “Done” on your keyboard.
